The Phoenix

I’m burning
Yearning
Unnerving
I’m turning
Into fire
Into flames
I’m in need
It is dire
To put out this fire

I’m alight
Not alright
So dowse me in water
Lord Father, blow the dam
Release the flow that is holy
Well sorta, souly
Bring forth the silver river
Extinguish they which is Crowley

Push aside those that are folly
Aligned with the horned beast
Them creatures which sliver
Makes your skin shiver
And your legs quiver
Look up, glance at Shiva
The destroyer and bringer
Universal singer and weaver
She’ll bring you to life
Using pure sound
Out through her mouth
From her lungs
She’ll breathe ya
But it tickles her throat
Senses a trace of goat
And results in a bloat

The flood gates are open
The flood gates are open
Bring on the waves
I want to be soaken
Afloat in a boat
Looky here
I’ve got a free token

Because inside me I’m burning
My heart oh it’s yearning
My brain is unnerved
My body has now turned
To charcoal and ash
In an instant; in a flash
Spontaneous combustion
It can happen so fast
I’m a supernova
Across the universe I’ve been cast
Set free at last
Sprinkling a bit of the present
Into the future and the past

Time dilation
Cryo-sanitation
What is truth
When in an instant
In a poof
All that we know
As fact and as proof
Is disintegrated
Into dust
Sounds like this truth is aloof
Quite uncouth
Raise the roof
The glass ceiling cracks
Gone off the tracks

Into the ocean
Melting down
Candle wax
A tsss sound
The flames been vanquished
I no longer have to rhyme
I can rest now
Thanks for your time
